Any student who has never attended Texas Tech as a student must register and complete New Student Orientation.
There is a $55 fee per student who attends NSO. This fee will be billed to the student's tuition and fees bill. There is no NSO fee for parents and guests. But, we do encourage any parent, guardian or sibling who wishes to attend NSO has their student register them when they register online for an NSO session.
The NSO fee does not include any housing or meals for your session. Please refer to the accommodations section of this website for more information regarding charges for Housing and Hospitality Services during NSO. The fee for Housing and Hospitality Services is the only fee you will be required to pay prior to or on arrival at NSO . This fee is paid directly to the respective departments of Housing and Hospitality not the Office of New Student Orientation.
